When you are working near irritating or toxic gases, or dust you must always protect your respiratory tract

  • When you are working near irritating or toxic gases, or dust you must always protect your respiratory tract.
  • Before using a mask verify the suitability of the filter to use by checking the expiry date and the code number category (P1-P2).
  • The filters are used to retain particles of airborne solid substances. For the retention of solid particles and generally harmless substances use filters (P1) while to retain low toxicity solid or liquid particulates and toxic dust use filters (P2).
  • After wearing the full face mask and the filter, check the sealing by closing the air inlet on the filter with the palm of your hand and try to breathe you should not be able to intake any air.
  • After each usage unscrew the filter from the mask wipe it with a dry cloth and close the inlets with the plugs. The filter must be stored in a dry and cool place near the mask.
  • Once unsealed, the filter should not be used after six (6) months. For this reason you should always write down opening date. After the expiry of six (6) months, the filter should be discarded.
  • When the working environment is contaminated with toxic or poisonous gases the mandatory use of a SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) is required.
